Perfect Coupling

Thomas Cohen, vocalist of the British rock band S.C.U.M., goes out, hand in hand,  with his girlfriend, journalist, television presenter and model Peaches Geldof.

Nothing out of the ordinary, just a pair enjoying their time out, except for one thing: they might be giving us a glimpse of how couples should look nowadays: as one (or both) of its members could be a liberated, unprejudiced, skirt-wearing New-Male.

I should report, though, that, on a closer look, what Thomas is wearing is not a skirt, but a pair of nice, comfy, ample shorts.

Joey Update

This is my friend Joey Ma.

My followers surely know him already, as he has frequently been featured here, so let me introduce him to the newcomers.

I consider him my friend, in spite of not having ever met him in person, since we've exchanged several e-mails, share a common interest in fashion-freedom for men, and, most of all, because I enjoy so much his daily postings in which he displays his wonderful styles, that his image has practically become a part of my own household.

You shouldn't miss his postings either!

I'm always amazed at his inextinguishable creativity and also, let's face it, a bit jealous of the sheer size, variety, and quality of his wardrobe.

For instance: check out the Gareth Pugh skirt-pants above or the Tata Christiane Jacket and Pier Atkinson hat below:

He has also published several "street fashion" pics of himself out in the "real" world.

Guy Skirts!

collection de jupes pour hommes hiatus

Just like I do, Jean Guy  manufactures kilts and male-skirts (that is, "un-bifurcated" garments, as opposite to "bifurcated" trousers) specially designed taking into account the anatomical and morphological characteristics of us males.
But unlike myself, he has them for sale on line!

The designs are fantastic, quite masculine by conventional standards (not always the case with my skirts!), obviously comfortable, and they come in every imaginable shape: traditional kilts, sarongs, Kendo-skirts, "cowboy" kilts (!), knee-length, ankle-length... what-have-you!

So gentlemen, there's no need to browse through the ladies section of the store for your next skirt. All you have to do is visit Jean's site,

Hiatus

Warning: the site is in French only. So, if you want to order a "jupe", I'd advise you to contact him at hiatus@live.fr, just to be sure you have the correct size-chart.

By the way: it seems to me that he's modelling his creations himself!
What a talented guy, this Guy!

Asian skirt

HEorSHE is the name of Asia Wysoczinka's latest collection drawn in austere, straight lines and stern tones of black and gray.
In spite of the set's name, I find the results quite masculine, including the skirts.

Other handsome garments include this wonderful ample overcoat.

Maybe the "androgyny" suggested by the title means simply that the pieces can also be worn by the ladies (but then, what can't they wear nowadays?).

Likewise, most of the garments from the designer's "ladies" department could be worn by us males, for instance this ample long black skirt, which turns out to be...

... a pair of samurai-trousers! Cool, huh?

Skirts or pants?

Cool "parachute pants" by Chronicles of Never.
Take a closer look, or to buy them "on line" at Oki Niki.
