Embroidered Cowboy

Highway Child
Out Magazine
September

Photography Bruno Staub

Wendell is clad in vests delicately embellished with smart needlework, and also heavily jewelled. He typifies an new, emerging species of highway creature: macho and rough, but without holding back the more exquisite aspects of his nature, expressed by means of refined flowery ornaments.

Not really my style, but I find the spread quite amusing all the same.
Any comments?

Baroque Russia

Belted overcoats, or simply shirts worn as belts, and ornate flowery both in jackets and leggings give this editorial it's baroqueness. Gold can't be left out in a proper churrigueresque setting, so André introduces not only golden details, but also a stunning gilt sequin vest (top).

Sunlight becomes you

Stylist Andre Austin and makeup artist Aeriel Payne present "Sunlighters", an editorial for the current issue of Miami-based Latin magazine Level. Austin chose to match the elegant dressing-coats and vests (including a chain-watch) with, among other items, a wonderful pair of skirt-pants, worn with complementary black leggings and very "manly" boots. The getups were shot by Rick Day.
