A Guy's Thing

Step One: Guyliner

If you're a "metrosexual" (whatever that means, really), a gay guy, a punk rocker, an Emo, an actor or a drag queen, you probably know already how to apply eyeliner around the contour of your eyes, and maybe also how to add color to your eyelids, enhance your cheekbones, rouge your lips or even transform your countenance entirely by means of make up.

But, if you're new with cosmetics and want to give them a shot, you might start experimenting with Guyliner, or, let's call it more properly, eye-liner made for men (which, one presumes, has the exact components of the one made for women).

The Dandy Project, a fine blog devoted to fashion adventurous guys (like us), offers step by step tutorials:

How to

Great tutorials, Izzy... I'm sure many of my readers will find them useful, although I bet most of them are already beyond that point... they could write more advanced tutorials themselves!

Been in Tokyo

(Seokbeen Choi)

And here he is again, our stylish 19-year-old Korean friend, who's currently studying at the prestigious Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo. He was met again by the lens of Tokyo Frashion News, this time in Shinjuku.

This time around he's wearing an iridescent Radd Lounge shirt, eye-liner smartly shapes the beautiful contour of his eyes, and, again, he's put on his high heeled boots from Dog Boutique.

The Madox Affaire

Madox, the artistic name for Breslau-born singer Marcin Majewski, caused quite a stir with his recent video for the song "High on you", which shows what seems to be an act of orgiastic indulgence around a bathtub...

Madox's big break arrived through Poland's got Talent in 2009 with a cover of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi.

The starlet, who's now living in Paris, owes his fame, and also all the polemics surrounding him, not only to his singing and to the erotic contents of his new vid, but also to his unique looks which, as with other performing artists, bring out a and creative and distinctive personality. Just check out these pics!

The Photographer Photographed

This magnificent Italian artist, a well known photographer, is often credited as the stylist also, and, oddly enough, as the model as well. But that multiplicity comes as no surprise, once we appreciate the quality of his work at both ends of the camera.

He publishes his work at

where his beautiful, somewhat gloomy, often nostalgic art, both as a photographer and as a model, is interspersed with "Gothic" poetry and quotations.

Lyin’ Eyes

So: you're a guy, and you're into makeup, or just curious about giving it a try, but too shy to ask for eyeliners or mascara at a store (or your girlfriend is sick and tired of your borrowing hers): Well,  Guyliner, an eyeliner made specifically for males, is now available.

What makes it special for males, other than it's presentation, is something I cannot tell, but at least it makes it "socially acceptable" for a dude to buy some makeup for himself.

If they still don't carry it at your local perfume shop, you can always order it on-line at:
