I'm aware that posting photographs of minors in a fashion blog can be quite an issue. 

Let's face it, fashion does often go hand in hand with some sort of sexual expression. 

Whenever I do so, though, I always proceed with candor. 

These young lads, for instance, simply do look handsome and cute in these un-prejudiced, gender-norm-defiying outfits.

Besides, these beautiful, unbiased images follow a purely artistic purpose, and one assumes that the pics have been previously posted with parental consent.

Dress 'n Skates

This is Erin's 6-year-old son. He happened to pick out this outfit for himself.

He cried in the dressing room, saying he felt "so beautiful in that dress", his mother reports. So she had to buy it! 

Not only is he a young New Male, but also the fortunate son of a unprejudiced mother.

A recent ad for J. Crew, the popular NYC retailer, shows an unprejudiced  mom having fun with her little son, whose favorite color happens to be pink. She painted his toenails with Essie bright neon polish.

Some reviewers have shown their concern about the kid's psychological development. I disagree entirely with their line of reasoning. Believe me: most crackpots out there haven't had their moms paint their toe-nails.

If anything, little Beckett will grow up with less prejudices and more acceptance of human diversity. 

And, who knows? Some day he might even become a New Male!

An amazing documentary: nine-year-old kids questioning gender stereotypes!

“Are you ever called a sissy?” 

“No, I'm not called sissy but what they say is ‘you’re gay’", 

answers Merlin in a susprisingly mature way, 

"and I don’t get that. First of all, what’s wrong with being gay? And second of all, how does wearing pink make me gay?”

His answers are actually more mature and that the grownups':

"[Stereotypes] is just restricting people." 

Might the upcoming generation of New Males be pushing the envelope even further than ours?

Child's play

Look what I've just come across: a funny, refreshingly innocent (and cute!) vid of a 10-year-old boy being made up and styled by his sister (one presumes). He's definitely having fun as they both playfully try out hairdoes and clothes... The results are decidedly stunning: boys also look great wearing makeup, and not necessarily in a feminine way.

I'm sure this experience won't affect in any way his future behaviour as a grownup, but it will sure help him  become a more open-minded and tolerant human being.

And besides, who knows? There's always the possibility of Joe ending up following this blog!
