On the Rise: Marius Strydom

This freckled South-African red-hair is one of those talents to watch, if you're after open-minded models displaying alternative fashions.

A graduate in Film Editing & Directing, the Cape-Town born Marius took up model during his last years at College.

They all have tired mouths
and bright souls without hem,
and a yearning (like a sin)
at times moves slowly through their dream.

Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 – 1926)

A recent graduate from the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel, Fink found his source of inspiration in Rilke, who's angels, a recurring figure in his poetry, can be both beneficial and terrible, as well as in Tony Kushner’s  Pulitzer Prize winning play Angels in America.

Nadav's dark or blood-red outfits, be them for cherubs, seraphs or fallen angels, are, if nothing else, extremely graceful and beautiful.

Ricardo Andrez A/W 2011

Selfish Fake
Autumn/Winter 2011 menswear collection

Photography Rui Vasco

Young Portuguese designer Ricardo Andrez presented his collection at the
Lisbon Museum of Design and Fashion as part of Modalisboa

Flashes of bright red and irreverent yellow gleam in a setting of less flaring shades of gray or cream. The context is in itself anything but dull: it calls for a varied assortment of cool items such as large tops and tees, as well as shirt-dresses.

Original jewelry and appliqués in glass marble complete the looks.
