Roitfeld took Liz Taylor's word literally:
"I wanted more than anything else in the world a man who could control me".
And after eight much publicized marriages, the actress obviously failed to find her dominant partner and to fulfill her dream.
Maybe her spouses were just not dressed correctly!
So the stylist gave her idealized male lover a Taylor-doll to play with (and to control), and dressed him in a way that Liz probably never imagined... not even in her wildest dreams. (Or who knows?)
Would it have worked out in real life?
You bet! Anyways, things couldn't have gone any worse...
